It’s time to go down the rabbit hole: London’s steady stream of large-scale immersive shows continues apace with the imminent arrival of  at Canada Water’s Dock X space.

While the last few years have seen Dock X and the similar ImmerseLDN space play host to a string of spectacular history-based shows – Dock X’s last show was about the Vikings, and before that there was a big one about the Titanic – it does seem possible that we’ve now depleted the reserves of big pre-existing factual shows that had been touring Europe.

Hence ImmerseLDN is currently playing host to the decidedly non-factual, insta-friendly House of Dreamers. And you can expect a not dissimilar vibe – extravagantly photo-friendly, great fun for kids of all ages – from the slightly oddly titled , a two-hour immersive extravaganza which sees audiences journey through 10 spectacular rooms themed around Lewis Carroll’s . A French show (in English), it’ll offer a mix of high-tech flashiness while live actors will bring you face to face with the various denizens of Wonderland, and you’ll be able to indulge in such activities as a round of flamingolf or a ponder on the nature of existence in the Den of the Caterpillar. 

After a rousing 90 minutes down the rabbit hole you’re invited to make your trip a little fancier by paying a visit to the immersive tea room, which sounds quite a lot like a tea room, where you can pay extra to sample various themed culinary creations. An exact end date hasn’t been divulged but it’ll definitely run over Christmas.

Alice Immersive Wonderland is at Dock X from Nov 13. Tickets go on sale Oct 6.
