Earlier this month, Amal Clooney made a trip to Malawi, Africa, to announce a new partnership between the Clooney Foundation for Justice, the Malawian Ministry of Justice, and Malawi Ministry of Gender to expand justice for women and children. Clooney’s wardrobe for the week-long trip incorporated all of her classics.

In photos captured by her longtime hairstylist and make-up artist Dimitris Giannetos (who you’ll also catch tending to the glam of Kim Kardashian, Demi Moore and others), Clooney wears a series of soft suiting separates and summery dresses. She first opted for a sunshine-yellow jersey dress with a billowing top and long skirt, adding a brown belt slung low on her waist, gold wedge sandals, wooden and gold bangles and gold hoop earrings. Another photo finds Clooney dressed in an emerald-green draped cotton dress that gathered into a knot at the side, worn with pointed pumps.

To speak at a panel and visit a local girls school, Clooney chose a textured white fitted dress which she paired with an aqua blue stone necklace. And to meet with representatives of the Malawian Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Gender, she switched into a cinched tan blazer jacket, cropped black cigarette pants, and black stilettos.

Clooney is very much back to work following a summer that saw her attend Venice Film Festival, where her husband George received an award, and host glitzy galas around her home in Lake Como.

The Clooney Foundation’s latest partnership will fund scholarships to support women and girls pursuing careers in law, while more work has been done to provide pioneering technology to the Gender Based Violence and Child Crimes Unit under the Directorate of Public Prosecutions to support cases involving violence against women and children. A programme with the University of Malawi will also provide fully-paid scholarships to 30 girls to go to law school and establish a fully-paid fellowship for early-career lawyers in aid of defending the rights of women and children who are victims of violence.

“I am so proud to launch this new Scholarship Programme at the University of Malawi so that brilliant young girls in Malawi can now study law at the nation’s top law school,” Clooney said in a statement. “And I’m excited that our new Fellowship Programme will help the University expand access to justice for women and children across the country – starting now and for years to come.”
