The Black Doves are back and the streets of London are about to get peppered with bullets once again.

Netflix’s spies-and-assassins thriller, created and written by s Joe Barton, is back for a second season that sets Keira Knightley’s deep-cover spy Helen Webb and her best friend, freelance trigger man Sam Young (Ben Whishaw), on a potentially violent collision course.

This time it’s complicated by a lethal plot against the mysterious Black Doves themselves and a murky back story set in Cold War Berlin.

It’s all accompanied by a crate-digging soundtrack full of unexpected, mood-setting vinyl cuts, from New York crooner Billy Joel to Camden rapper Ocean Wisdom.

Tracks by Can and Einstürzende Neubauten help set the scene for a trip back to the days before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Olly Murs fans will have mixed feelings about his involvement.
