Blondes have more fun, as the saying goes, and Emily Blunt spent the summer months promoting her movie with a head of bright and creamy highlights. But her sleek updo as she celebrated Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden New York gala on Tuesday night suggests the actor is embracing the winter months by taking things down a notch. Her moodier “winter blonde” shade, styled into that chic topknot by Renato Campora, sees a darker root melted into a lighter, champagne blonde at the ends.

“Daniel is someone who creates such an impact, one that is so lasting, and so resonant, not only amongst those who know, but even someone as fleece-wearing as my father, who still talks about that Oscars dress I wore with the levitating shoulders,” said Blunt, who frequently wears Schiaparelli gowns on the red carpet, in her speech. “He was like, ‘It’s so avant-garde!’ I’d never heard him say those words in my life, and he also adored the extraordinary couture that Daniel let me snatch off the runway to wear to The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere.”
