Everything Daisy Edgar-Jones Is Wearing To Promote

“We’ve been getting so excited and nerdy,” Daisy Edgar-Jones told British on the day that Sense and Sensibility premiered in London, of the pieces she has teed up to wear on the press tour. Come to think of it, we have been, too, thanks to intel from Edgar-Jones’s super stylist, Dani Michelle, that revealed her red-carpet looks would draw on the late 18th century aesthetic of the empire-waisted Elinor Dashwood. “We’ve tried to thread every look back to her character and the time period,” she explained, “searching for corsetry, lace, puffed silks, florals and brocade.”

Plus, we had the star’s August issue cover shoot to refer back to: all corsets, lace cravats and petticoats, procured by the film’s costume designer Grace Snell, and incorporated into the story along with runway looks by Louis Vuitton, Prada and Chanel.

Turns out there are benefits to the cinched corsets that come with period drama-inspired styling. “You can’t slouch in Vivienne Westwood… it gives you great posture,” says Edgar-Jones. Below, all that have made us sit up straight, from the Sense and Sensibility promo tour.
