After exuberant iterations in New York, London, Paris and Los Angeles, Vogue World is travelling to Italy, where the spectacle will unfold on day one of Milan Fashion Week. Its overarching theme? Uplifting “craftsmanship and the human touch” in the age of technology.
“We are so excited that Milan will be the next city to host Vogue World in 2026,” Francesca Ragazzi, Italia’s head of editorial content, said when the location was announced back in November. “This extraordinary event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate with a global audience the timeless story of Made in Italy, a story of genius and craftsmanship. It feels particularly meaningful to do so at this moment in time, in the era of artificial intelligence.”

When is Vogue World: Milano?
Just a few months after it co-hosted the Winter Olympic Games, Milan will serve as the setting for Vogue World’s sweeping celebration of handicraft on 22 September 2026.
Where will Vogue World: Milano be held?
As announced at a press conference on 24 February, Vogue World: Milano will take place at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – that iconic, glass-topped shopping arcade at the heart of the city, between La Scala and the Duomo. It’s the oldest active shopping arcade in Italy. “Milan is one of the great European capitals of craftsmanship, where heritage and modernity meet, and where art, literature, opera and industry have long converged,” Anna Wintour, Condé Nast’s chief content officer and ’s global editorial director, observed in a statement. “There could be no better place for Vogue World to honour everything that is extraordinary about this city than the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.”
How will Vogue World: Milano differ from previous versions of the event?
Though its point has always been to fête fashion, each iteration of Vogue World has done so through a slightly different lens. Vogue World’s 2022 debut included a fashion show and street fair intended to revitalise New York Fashion Week after Covid. In 2023, Vogue World took the form of an evening at the theatre in London, benefiting the city’s performing arts scene. The glittering red carpet saw Sienna Miller reveal her baby bump in white Schiaparelli separates. In 2024, Vogue World: Paris paid tribute to fashion and sports at the Place Vendôme, with more than 500 models, athletes and performers participating – including Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, who cantered across the square on horseback, clad in Hermès. Then, last year, Vogue World travelled to Hollywood, where it explored fashion’s long love affair with the movies – complete with a surprise catwalk cameo from none other than Nicole Kidman, wearing custom Chanel.
Who is helping to bring Vogue World: Milano to life?
The team behind Vogue World: Milano includes Anna Wintour and Francesca Ragazzi, with support from a sprawling roster of creative talent. Juan Costa Paz, from Paris-based creative studio Convoy, is the show’s creative director. Lady Amanda Harlech spearheads the fashion, with Peter Aluuan serving as styling director and Luca Galasso as Special Performers and Extended Cast Fashion Director. Charm La’Donna is executing the choreography, Jen Green of Genevieve Productions serves as the show producer, and Stephen Galloway is the show’s movement director.
Judith Clark, Professor of Fashion and Museology at the University of the Arts London, joins as show curator. Marie Julie Craeymeersch of Mode and the Moon serves as an executive producer, partnering with Marco Balich and Balich Wonder Studios, while Without Production oversees backstage operations.
Pat McGrath Labs serves as the official backstage make-up brand of Vogue World, with Dame Pat McGrath leading make-up design and execution. Cyndia Harvey leads hair styling and Eri Narita leads nail styling. Select fashion and accessories are sourced from eBay, ’s official vintage and pre-loved vintage partner.
Ivan Striga handles executive music production, with Gaspard Murphy and Thomas Roussel overseeing music direction. Ignace D’Haese of ARF&YES spearheads lighting design.
What will Vogue World: Milano’s charitable component look like?
“The theme of [Vogue World: Milano] revolves around the value of the human element and the need to preserve the meaning of doing, learning and creating in an increasingly digital world,” Francesca Ragazzi said in a statement on 15 June. “The redevelopment of the Quarto Oggiaro Library – one of Milan’s priorities – embodies this vision by transforming a place historically dedicated to knowledge into a contemporary cultural hub where creativity, curiosity and community come together in a vibrant way.”
“For us, investing in the Quarto Oggiaro Library means investing in the next generation,” added Milan City Councillor for Culture, Tommaso Sacchi. “Libraries today are no longer just places for books: they are social and cultural spaces where people study, meet, exchange ideas and spend time together. Vogue World: Milano allows us to rethink this library on a much larger scale, making it more open, more welcoming, and more useful to the community around it. A city’s cultural life cannot exist only in its historic centre: it has to reach the neighborhoods where everyday life actually happens.”
“We are thrilled by the opportunity to collaborate on this project,” said Barbara Tripodo, the library’s director. “We are confident that the redevelopment of the library will have a significant impact on neighborhood life, enriching it with renewed spaces for social interaction, innovation and the development of new creative energy.”
