You know how the old saying goes: it’s a marathon, not a sprint. While the original context presumably had nothing to do with fashion week, now that we’re approaching the finish line of this season’s multi-city extravaganza, it does feel appropriate – and as ever, this particular test of endurance demands a wardrobe robust enough to match. Katie Holmes, by now a seasoned pro on the circuit, seems to have it covered.

Clocking up more than her fair share of appearances for spring/summer 2027, the actress has been sticking to a monochrome wardrobe, alternating between all white and all black outfits for an uncomplicated approach to front-row dressing. For her first New York Fashion Week street-style moment, the actress appeared outside the Cult Gaia show in an all-black look comprising an off-the-shoulder top and pleated trousers. There with Katie, her essential accessory: artist boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky. The next day, Katie opted for all white at Calvin Klein, with Jason following suit.

Moving onto Milan, Katie introduced a classic trench coat to take in Tod’s spring/summer 2027 collection, before going back to exclusively black and white in Paris, wearing a feather-trimmed Tove skirt and nighttime shades, followed by top to toe black for Isabel Marant and all white everything at the Lanvin show. Consider the actor’s monochrome wardrobe of elevated separates her answer to an athlete’s performancewear.
