The YA series has had something of a glow-up over the past couple of years. Still, initially I was in a similar camp to British ’s Daisy Jones when it came to – in that I had no intention of watching it. But after also being “bombarded with images online of hot people making out”, I caved and binged the whole thing. Despite being safely outside the teen drama age demographic, I now find myself more invested in the relationship status of fictional hockey star Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) and musical prodigy Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) than I care to admit.
Reunited at the VMAs over the weekend, the pair gave impatient fans something to sink their teeth into while we wait for the next instalment of the addictive show. Joining Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter and Madonna on the red carpet, the leads posed together in complementary indoor sunglasses. Cameli swapped the sports jerseys for double denim courtesy of Ferragamo. Bright, meanwhile, ditched her on-screen uniform of crop tops and high-waisted denim in favour of a corseted Roberto Cavalli dress.
Filming wrapped on season two back in June, so impatient fans (myself included) won’t have long to wait before seeing these two together again.
