Actor and former British cover star Jodie Comer stepped out on Wednesday night looking decidedly autumnal. Attending a photocall for The Death of Robin Hood, the upcoming Michael Sarnoski film starring Comer, as well as Hugh Jackman and Bill Skarsgård, Comer’s usually bright blonde hair had been taken in a “toasted” direction – one that feels just right for the time of year.

Her new hair blends lighter, face-framing pieces with darker, ash-toned roots, and she styled it in loose, boho waves that bent around the high points of her cheekbones. Wearing a Givenchy shirt dress and knee-high boots (another autumn staple), Comer kept her make-up natural and light – complete with fluffy brows and a lightly over-lined lip.

Over the summer, Comer (and hairstylist Christian Wood) experimented with fluffy curls, wearing the hairstyle to a cocktail party in London in honour of the celeb-fave jewellery designer, Jessica McCormack.

While Comer rarely deviates from her honey-coloured balayage, the shift in season seems to have inspired her to lean into a slightly burnished blonde. A small tweak like this is a lovely way to embrace cosy season without completely overhauling your colour. For first-timers, a semi-permanent colour gloss can bring renewed warmth and depth to colour that needs a refresh.
