Although she’s not averse to a naked look at the Met Gala, Kendall has long been the more demure dresser of the Kar-Jenner clan – a reputation she upheld on a girls’ night out with Hailey Bieber at Sushi Park this week, when she paired a knee-length navy skirt with a boat-neck T-shirt, and, in another signature move, accessories from The Row. Her satin June mules and unassuming Terrasse bag might have passed for M&S essentials, but both came courtesy of the Olsens.

That taste for understatement is something she shares with Jacob Elordi, too. Whether hard-launching their relationship in Japan or heading out for a date night during Paris Fashion Week, the couple have taken to wearing interchangeable – and expensive – basics. Proof, perhaps, that there’s life in the sensible skirt beyond the staffroom.
