Mysterious West End nightclub Lost is returning with a ‘24-hour district’

If there’s one London nightclub that has generated the most intrigue in recent years, it’s the mysterious . Taking over the former Odeon cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue, Lost offered a different way of clubbing for Londoners but was only open for eight months.

But soon Lost will be back. The temporary club has just announced it will be returning in November, on an uncomfirmed date in an unconfirmed location.

The first time around, no photos and no phones were allowed inside Lost, and revellers had to lock devices away in a pouch before entering. As for what happened inside its walls, one Time Out writer described it as ‘a hedonistic labyrinth where you don’t know what’s around the next corner’.

Former rooms were converted into dance floors, but two screens remained to show films such as David Cronenberg's throughout the night, which thudded on until 6am. Designed by the people behind Secret Cinema, Lost was a mix of DJ sets, live music and film screenings.

Lost’s temporary lease expired earlier this year, but the club said at the time it had secured another future lease. While the grand return has been announced, in typical Lost fashion the details are thin on the ground – only suggesting a ‘24-hour district’.

A statement said: ‘We have uncovered a city within a city. A 24-hour district in the heart of London. We want to build it with you.

‘No phones. No line up. November 2026.

‘Missed you. See you soon.’

It’s not clear where the new venue will be or when exactly it will open (and how long for). Alongside the news, Lost posted a black-and-white video, presumably a news clip, about people studying at the London College of Fashion and Clothing Technology on Oxford Street.

Did you hear? A new 7,000 capacity warehouse venue opens in London this weekend.
