Whether you love to throw yourself into the festivities or you identify as more of a Scrooge type, there’s no denying that party season, with all of the attendant chit-chat and canapés, is on its way. So there’s no time like the present to get ahead on outfit planning. This year, take inspiration from Sienna Miller, who brought a little showgirl flair to the red-carpet last night in a vintage candy-pink mini that represented something of a break from her usual style playbook.

Swapping her boho boots for strappy satin pumps by Jimmy Choo, Miller opted for an Emanuel Ungaro spring/summer 1992 minidress for the premiere of in LA, tapping into the same party-dressing mood we saw in action at this weekend’s CFDA Awards, where Anthony Vaccarello was accompanied by a trio of metallic gold muses in Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz and Rosé. With its strapless neckline and ruffled hem, it was something of a pivot away from Sienna’s usual style, and follows another ’90s vintage moment from Blake Lively, who made her return to the party scene this week in archive Chanel.

While we’re all familiar with the Chloé looks and statement belts of Sienna’s boho past, her recent red-carpet choices have erred more on the side of outré glamour. See: those Erdem ostrich feathers. This latest candy-pink look suggests Christmas party season has come early – at least in Sienna’s house.
