“I know you may think that every year is special, but this year is a real special one,” Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala told Business’s Lucy Maguire ahead of the spring/summer 2027 shows. “[This season], we will make sure the fashion industry and the city will glitter.” He was talking about Vogue World: Milano, which brought just about every designer and model worth their salt to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on the opening night of Milan Fashion Week, but he could just as easily have been describing the wider proceedings. Glenn Martens’s final showing at Diesel and the Moschino debut of Simone Rizzo and Loris Messina, founders of the now-shuttered Sunnei, not to mention the Vogue Café and the opening gala for the “Dalí and Fashion” exhibition at the Palazzo Reale.
