The “Whisper” Fringe Has Usurped All Other Bangs This Autumn

Prenez note la whisper fringe va faire fureur à l'automne

This autumn, a new trending fringe is set to take over, and it’s ideal for anyone who has toyed with the idea of getting bangs but never quite brought themselves to make the leap. In contrast to the retro-inflected curtain bangs being championed by Daisy Edgar-Jones and co, this season, we’re interested in something a little less all-in: the whisper fringe.

Discreet and subtle, the whiper fringe is generally cut at or slightly above eyebrow level, with soft ends rather than a straight, defined line. It can be worn with a centre part or to the side, or even slicked back into the rest of the hair – all the benefits of a fringe, without the full-time commitment.

Your hairstylist will likely blend a whisper fringe gradually into the lengths around the side of your face, to form a fine veil of hair that falls onto the forehead. Rather than a total image overhaul, the whisper fringe represents a subtle update to your existing hairstyle – perfect for the autumn, which is always a great time to introduce something new.

When styling, avoid using too much product. As a whisper fringe is so light, it will quickly become limp or greasy if you’re too heavy-handed with the serum or styling cream. Instead, avoid fussing with it and keep a good dry shampoo on hand for second-day refreshment.
