In 2026 editors are more likely to wear a Wales Bonner flat than a pair of high heels and a Martine Rose windbreaker than anything too tailored. At fashion month, when navigating a relentless schedule with international travel, it can be tempting to peacock in wild and wonderful outfits, however the team has realised the trick is to stick to tried-and-tested pairings that don’t veer too far from their everyday style.
The British team always loves to champion London design talent (on home soil or when travelling for shows), so as ever the outfits this autumn revolved around British star buys, such as Martine Rose sportswear, Simone Rocha dresses, & Daughter knitwear, Talia Byre stripes and Wales Bonner anything. The team also has a very London approach to styling, with a mash up of casual and elevated pieces – take, Naomi Smart who had a fashion-forward take on a tracksuit with a nylon Prada jacket, H&M x Wardrobe NYC trackpants and Nike Air Rifs.

While fashion month was all about the skirt (Prada politely asked us to stop wearing trousers and dresses with its 63 looks, which were all grounded with a skirt), if we had to pick one hero item among the team this autumn it would be a sports-coded jacket. They were a key addition to Chioma Nnadi’s, head of editorial content, fashion month suitcase, from a chocolate brown Miu Miu bomber to Martine Rose logo-emblazoned track jacket.
You’ll see nods to recent trend cycle (hello purple and red), but most of our outfits are almost identical to those in last autumn’s team street-style piece, showing the power of having a roster of time-saving looks you can rely on for a Tuesday in the office or a front row seat at Dior.
